  • Video Submission

    Orchestral Artistry mock auditions, October 2020

     

    Your online mock auditions this term will be assessed by a panel of LSO players, and you will have short Zoom chats with the LSO panel members a few days later, to give you individual feedback on the auditions.

    Deadline to upload footage: 1400 on Monday 19 October.

    • Please film yourself playing your audition repertoire - there is a lot of useful information on MyGuildhall, including guides produced by AV on how to record your audition.
    • Repertoire: your mock audition will consist of the exposition of the standard concerto of your choice (without piano) plus orchestral excerpts (you have been emailed with repertoire information)
    • On the film, please identify pieces before each one – you can either speak the title/composer/movement before each piece/excerpt, or edit the film footage to add written titles
    • Ideally, please upload 1 film containing all footage, or you may have 2 separate clips, for the concerto and the excerpts. Obviously, each separate piece must be recorded straight through, ie please don’t make edits within any excerpts you upload!
