This separate Moodle course is an easy way to access information for discussion groups and individual tutorials, as a supplement to the main Reflective Practice Moodle course.

First essay
Identifies objectives and suggests strategies for the coming year (1350-1650 words)
Setting goals
- Short-term for the chimp
- Long-term for our whole careers
- How can we break down big goals to fit into this immediate year?
- SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, timely)
What’s next
Choose how to keep a record of your journey through the year (written journal, voice notes on your phone), because things may well shift; this will then form the material for your second SRA
Individual tutorials - Monday 18th October 9am-12.30pm
10am, Monday 25 October deadline for submission of 1st SRA -
Discussion Group 2
Aims:
- How to meet goals
- Independent learning / methodology
- Keeping each other accountable
- Reflecting in action/conversation
Reflection on first essay:
- What was your experience of writing the essay?
- Share goals
Activity 1: Brainstorm questions…

- …to help each other action goals (What’s your strategy? What steps are you taking TODAY?)

Activity 2: Real and imagined perspectives
- What would my larynx say to me?

- What would the composer say to me?
- What would my favourite teacher from primary school say to me?

- What would I be doing today if I were truly committed to _____________ ?
- Is there anything else I could possibly do to take another step closer to my vision? Any stone left unturned? What’s the very next physical action I could take to move me — even slightly – in the direction of my goal? Where am I holding back?
